Video RCA Switch /Y-adapter with Shift automatic (1x male > 2x female)
The RCA switch enables the connection of two video sources to one RCA input (e.g. monitor or car radio) and their controlled playback. This allows you to connect a rear view camera and a front view camera as a video source. Of course, it is also possible to connect other video sources such as DVD players, DVB-T tuners, etc. (only picture, no sound).
Switching
The switch is equipped with a switching logic: for this purpose, you define a master and a slave input during installation. The master is always played back with priority. Only if the master signal is not available and the slave is sending, the slave signal is sent to the monitor.
More precisely: The slave input is always active and shows a permanent image. If a picture is now available at the master, it overlays the slave signal. As soon as the picture is switched off at the master, the switch also switches back to the slave. The master always overlays the slave as soon as a video signal is available at the master.
Please note:
the automatic switch-over takes place via the recognition of the master/slave picture signals, not via the presence or absence of the 12V power supply (e.g. via reversing light).
In addition to the cinch connections of inputs (video sources) and output (monitor), only a 12V power connection and a ground connection are required.
