This filter is designed to fit directly onto a Bosch 044 pump
inlet
for use a
pump pre-filter
.
On Cosworth models the filter assembly will fit neatly between the pump & tank outlet.

The primary cause of fuel pump failure is contamination / debris ingestion - the pumps have tiny internal working clearances and debris jams the pump rotor - instant pump failure. (This type of pump failure is NOT covered by pump manufacturers warranty).
NEVER fit a replacement pump without a pre-filter if debris ingestion is suspected of causing the original to fail or the new pump will meet the same fate.
Bosch 044 pumps are expensive pumps to lose through debris ingestion.
